Hello and welcome to The Village Chippy Sussex.

We are Chris and Lauren and this is our family adventure, selling traditional fish and chips on wheels! We are Seaford based having lived here for 16 years. We have 2 children, a dog, a cat and a few fish a typical normal family, lol. Both our children love to help out in the van supporting mum and dad.

Chris is the brains behind the idea, having lost his job to COVID last year after working for Sainsburys for most of his life and then moving on to aviation in 2019.

He helped his father last summer reopen his seafront fish and chip shop in Brighton after the first lockdown was lifted. Lauren was on furlough having worked in a local leisure centre for a few years.

In late 2020 we started to get permissions from local authorities to park our van in their villages and then the search began to find our perfect van. In March 2021 we found him and haven’t looked back.

Here we are absolutely LOVING what we do….heres to many more years of The Village Chippy Sussex.
